Stay in our cosy Farm Cottage adjoining the 16th century farmhouse on Raygill Farm - a traditional Teesdale farm set in over a 120 acres in the finest unspoilt countryside in the North of England. Completely self contained and full of traditional character, it is suitable for individuals, families, groups, parties and organisations up to 20 people. There are 2 en-suite bedrooms, a bunk room sleeping four and a loft room which sleeps up to 9 people.

Local Area Details

Raygill Farm is situated in the heart of Teesdale on a Traditional Farm. The Farm operates a Riding Centre and the area abounds with bridleways and ancient tracks giving those on foot, bicycle or horseback the opportunity of exploring this picturesque part of England. The Pennine Way and the Teesdale way are close by and also the reservoirs of Grassholme, Selset and Hurry, al areas of oustanding natural beauty. Here you can find first class fishing and take part in watersports such as yachting and windsurfing. Teesdale has many rural pursuits to offer the visitor such as clay pigeon and Grouse shoots, off road driving, and white water canoeing in the dale. Raygill is 15 minutes walk from the market town of Barnard Castle. The town has lots of restaurants, antique shops, the Castle, Bowes Museum (a Magnificent French Chateau in the heart of England), a large sports and fitness centre with pool sauna and solarium, a Golf course and much more..... For those who want to explore Northern England Raygill is the ideal location, only about an hours drive fom the lake district, and historic Cathedral cities of York and Durham. The Yorkshire Dales made famous by James Herriot are just a short drive away.
