Peek House and the Rousdon Estate are situated on the Jurassic Coast - England's first natural World Heritage Site. This unique stretch of coastline has joined the ranks of the Great Barrier Reef and the Grand Canyon as one of the wonders of the natural world.
The Jurassic Coast is stunningly beautiful, with an unparalleled range of natural features. The variety of landslides, beaches, bays and cliffs results in a constantly changing landscape.
The Rousdon Estate's private beach forms part of the coast which is famous for fossils and new discoveries are constantly being uncovered, including exceptionally well preserved dinosaurs and dinosaur footprints.
Peek House is one wing of a grand Mansion House that was built by Sir Henry Peek, whose fortune was made in tea and groceries, in 1874. Only 350 acres remain of the original 2,500 but they contain the finest walks, natural fauna and flora, including wild deer, pheasants, rabbits, foxes and squirrels.
The area is dotted with lovely pubs and restaurants and quaint villages such as Beer, Branscombe and the seaside towns of Seaton and Lyme Regis.
