Property Details
The Carriage House Inn has become one of the best Bed and Breakfasts in Newfoundland. The owners have upgraded the inn by expansion, renovations and many improvements. The exterior has a new wood siding with a beautiful veranda and detailed wood posts. The interior has been transformed into the luxury and comfort one comes to expect in the best facilities. Hardwood and ceramic floors, large mouldings, and texture-painted walls add warmth and beauty to the décor.
The owners have embarked on an ambitious mission to supply the best quality of service for their guests, who, upon arrival, are greeted with tea, coffee, cookies, and fresh fruit.. Many guests take advantage of the laundry facilities and our selection of movies on DVD.
Breakfast at the Carriage House Inn is fast becoming a well known tradition. Many guests have come to the Carriage House Inn on the recommendation of other guests who praise our great breakfasts, comfortable beds, clean and quiet rooms. Service and quality at the Carriage House Inn has recently been recognized with two new awards; Customer Service Award by the Town of Grand Falls-Windsor and The Best Bed and Breakfast in Central Newfoundland by Tourist Choice Awards.
Local Area DetailsWhile in Grand Falls-Windsor you can visit the falls and watch the salmon follow the fishway around the falls (June 15 to Aug 15). There is a golf course nearby and a swimming hole at Thunder Brook. A Rec Centre complete with gym, fittness center, and pool. There is a Mussel Boat Tour which takes you to a Mussel farm and you can see how mussels grow. On the return trip you experience the taste of freashly cooked mussels and enjoy live enterainment.
