Local Area Details

The urbanization of Playa Famara was designed by a Norwegian architect with the aim of creating holiday homes that blend into and coexist with the natural environment. It comprises of approx. 200 semi-circular bungalows located in the foothills of the Los Riscos mountain range overlooking the bay of Famara. The bay of Famara has the largest natural beach on the island and has many good surfing breaks that work on various states of the tide. The urbanization has a bar/restaurant, a local shop and a communal solar heated pool.
