This traditional Cretan stone house, completely renovated in 2006, stands in a tranquil setting overlooking the whole village of Schinokapsala. Mountains interlaced with country walks tower behind the house, and from the patio there are 180 degree views of the Libyan Sea and the islands of Koufonisi and Chrissi 20 kilometres away.
Set apart from other properties on an isolate outcrop, this rental offers a peaceful base for exploring unspoilt local scenery and beaches, "far from the madding crowd".
Petalouda boasts 2 double bedrooms and a huge living room with double and single sofa beds, so it will sleep 6 or 7 comfortably. Between the 2 bedrooms there is a smart wet room with shower, toilet and basin. All bed linen and generous towels are provided, and there is ample storage space.
The spacious kitchen/dining room is the centre of the house, fully equipped to cater for 8 persons, with electric cooker, large fridge/freezer, washing machine, radio/cassette/CD player, a traditional Cretan table and masses of chairs.
Outside are 2 patio areas (one for sun and one for shade) and a mature garden, none of which is overlooked.
A car is more or less essential, and we can arrange this for you to pick up (and drop) at the airport.
