A newly refurnished and remodeled very spacious family vacation lodge nestled on the edge of its own 33 mountain acres. Just 50 miles NE of Asheville located in the Majestic Black Mountain Range near Mt. Mitchell, the highest peak East of the Mississippi. Enjoy this cathedral ceiling 2 story, 4 bedroom, 2 full bath home, with all the modern conveniences along with it's own private and picturesque hiking trails which meander through the Sharp Top Mountain forest.
This spectacular mountain home features a view of the mountain, numerous huge skylights to let the outside inside, satellite TV, VCR, DVD player, Maytag washer/dryer, fuel heating, modern kitchen with state of the art appliances, spacious rooms, extensive decking front and side and a massive stone hearth fireplace for those cool mountain nights "cut firewood provided" with refreshing ice cold mountain well water. The lower level has a gorgeous native Hickory hardwood floor. Have an indoor cookout in the fireplace which is equipped with a swing out grate or use the large built in charcoal grill located on the edge of the large patio. Also on the outer edge of this patio is a manmade waterfalls which flows down a bouldered path and empties into an outdoors aquarium.

Do as little or as much as you desire. A perfect base location for N.C. explorations. Snow skiing just 40 minutes away.

Sharp Top Forest Lodge can easily accommodate 10 Guests with its four bedrooms. The master bedroom is on the first floor and has a queen size bed. The other 2 first floor bedrooms have a queen size and a full size bed. Upstairs in the bunkhouse loft there are 4 twin size beds. There are two full baths; one has a shower and tub the other has a shower. All the beds have pillows and there are plenty of blankets and comforters. We provide the bed and bath linens.
