It is nestled in the side of the mountain and surrounded by massive Carolina Hemlock trees. If mountain hiking is a part of your vacation plans all you need to do is walk out the front door and start walking. There are miles of mountain trails here. You can walk for days and never be on the same trail twice. Fishing is also available in Cattail Creek which flows in front of the cabin as well as the Cane River which is about a 5 minute drive from the cabin. Or you can just kick back and enjoy the sounds of the bouldered Cattail Creek from the 200 square foot deck which extends out to the edge of the creek. The cabin is about 15 minutes from town and just 50 miles NE of Asheville located in the Majestic Black Mountain Range near Mt. Mitchell, the highest peak East of the Mississippi.
This mountain home features cable TV, VCR, DVD player, washer/dryer, fuel and electric heating, 2 kitchens, 2 full baths, a front and rear porch, native stone fireplace for those cool mountain nights "cut firewood provided" with refreshing ice cold mountain spring water. Do as little or as much as you desire. A perfect base location for N.C. explorations. Snow skiing at Wolf Laurel Ski Lodge is just 40 minutes away.

The Main Cabin has 2 bedrooms downstairs and 1 very large one in the upstairs loft and can easily sleep 6 guests. The bed sizes are 2 Full size beds downstairs, while the upstairs bedroom has a Queen bed. All bed and bath linens are provided. Enjoy this 2 story, 3 bedroom, 2 full baths, 2 kitchen home, with all the modern conveniences along with the tranquil sounds of Cattail Creek.

ABOUT THE REMOTE MOUNTAIN CABIN SUITE
"Hagler's Hemlock Haven" is comprised of both the Main Mountain Cabin and a Remote Mountain Cabin Suite. The remote suite is approximately 30 feet to the rear of the main cabin. It has its own full bath, kitchen and a combination bedroom and living rooom which can accommodate 2 more guests for a total of 8. The Cabin Suite has a queen size hideaway sofa bed.

The home is very private yet not secluded. You can get in your car and drive to the Burnsville Town Square in about 20 minutes. You will find an assortment of antique shops, arts and craft shops a museum and both fast food and dine in restaurants. Or you may just want to enjoy the peacefulness of the walking area located in the middle of the square.
