Situated in the heart of rural France traditional French cottages accommodating a family of 4/5. Surrounded by pasture and woodlands, within the grounds of a small picturesque 16th century chateau.
Les Oliviers form part of a group of 3 stonebuilt Périgordian cottages which provide comfortable living accommodation for holidaymakers wanting to explore the Périgord Noir.
The large swimming pool (18m x 8m x 2m) is shared and located 300 meters away from the cottages. It is surounded by a small garden with a lovely view of the chateau and surrounding countryside.

About GolfingAt nearby St Félix de Reilhac, Le Domaine De La Marterie is open all year round in a natural and preserved enviroment. In seventy hectares of wooded small valleys and ponds this 18 hole course has been designed by, and is for, golfers.
About Airport InformationBergerac airport is just 50Km away, with flights from Birmingham, Edinburgh, Gatwick, Southampton, Exeter and Leeds. You can also fly to Bordeaux or Toulouse, both of which are about 3 hours drive away.
About ParksLascaux is the setting of a complex of caves famous for its cave paintings. The original caves are located near the village of Montignac, in the Dordogne département. They contain some of the most well-known Upper Paleolithic art. These paintings are estimated to be 16,000 years old. They primarily consist of realistic images of large animals, most of which are known from fossil evidence to have lived in the area at the time. Lascaux was added to the UNESCO World Heritage Sites list in 1979.
About Family ActivitiesThe closest Canoeing/ kayaking centre is at Les Eyzies. They will provide you with solid equipment which conforms to the latest standards and certified by the Ministry of Youth and Sports. You can paddle, in one of their unsinkable canoes or kayaks and even take children under 12 with you, provided a parent is present. You will have the choice of canoes seating 2, 3 or 4 people or kayaks seating 1 or 2.
Mongolfiere du Périgord offers tourists hot-air balloon flights over the Périgord Noir. They organised flights all the year round, on reservation and according to the weather conditions. During the main season there are 2 flights per day, only one the rest of the year. Each flight takes approximately 60 minutes.
About Local AttrcationsLes Eyzies de Tayac is one of the most frequently visited villages of France. Prehistory has left many traces there. Les Eyzies is the first site where the Cro Magnon where discovered, ancestor of the Homo Sapiens. The most important places to visit are, the cave "Font de Gaume" and the "Musée National de la Préhistoire". The museum contains one of the largest prehistoric collections that are worldwide available.
Les Eyzies de Tayac lies along the Vézère, a tributary of the Dordogne river where many journeys by canoe or kayak start. The surroundings are decorated with countless mediaeval castles, cave dwellings, churches and chapels. At the same time, Les Eyzies is a cosy little town with plenty of touristic comfort. There are lots of restaurants and little shops where you can find typical regional dishes (fois gras,truffes, ...) as well as prehistorical gift items.
About Local RestaurantsMany restaurants menus in the area, are based on the sumptuous local gastronomy such as wine, fois gras, duck, black truffles, cèpes, goose, sanglier, walnuts, figs and chestnuts. About ShoppingRouffignac St Cernin (5/6 km), is the nearest local town with amenities, it includes a boulangerie, bank, chemist, supermarket, restaurants, and a Sunday morning market.
One of the great pleasures of a holiday in France is being able to browse at the local markets. As you wander, your senses will be aroused with the perfume of herbs and spices....here you will find quality fruit and vegetables at excellent prices, also meat, bread and cheese....in fact the perfect way to begin your holiday is to visit a local Sunday market to stock up with food (remember supermarkets are often closed on a Sunday). This means you can minimise the amount of food you have to take with you.
