Mas Escarabill is a quiet and peaceful place situated in the hills near the village of Céret, overlooking the Vallespir valley. Built in 1850, the house was renovated in 2007. You will find 3 beautiful bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a spacious kitchen and living room. The terrace around the house is dotted with small relaxation areas in the sun or in the shade of trees. The ecological swimming pool is edged with pebbles, plants and darting dragonflies. The house offers a spectacular view of the mountains. This is the perfect place to relax in the middle of nature and have a « stress free » Holiday experience.
Local Area DetailsThe house is perfectly situated nearby the typical catalan village of Ceret where you will be able to discover the musics, arts, and legends of the catalan culture. You will also find a modern art museum which features works by Picasso, who once frequented this town. You will also be able to come accross one of the biggest market of the year. In Amelie Les Bains, a city which is 10 kilometres away from Ceret, you will come by a hot thermal spa.
The Ceret area offers you all kind of activities as for example, mountain biking, bungee jumping, hiking in the Pyrennes, cannyonning, paraglider, hanglider or horse riding.
Within 30 minutes, you can reach the Mediterranean beaches of nearby beautiful Collioure, Argeles sur Mer and St.Cyprien. Spain is also very close by and in a day you can easily visit Figueres with the eccentric Dali Museum and then go relax on the beautiful spannish beaches of Roses or Tossa del Mar. Barcelona is about two hours away on the motorway and is one of the most interesting and exciting cities in Europe.
