This luxurious apartment, Au Sommet Du Grand Combin, is on the top floor of Residence Grand Combin, a recently renovated former lakeside hotel dating back to 1908.
This apartment enjoys most spectacular views over the lake to the west, to the white peaks of the Mont Blanc Massif and to the east over the Grand St Bernard valley to Les Combins mountain range with its spectacular highest peak, Le Grand Combin at 4317 metres.
The building is situated in the tranquil mountain village of Champex-Lac, which as well as its lake has a host of other natural features for a wide variety of alpine sporting and leisure activities.
The village is in the Verbier-St Bernard region in the Swiss canton of Valais, about 90 minutes from Geneva and its airport and readily accessible by road, rail and air.
The apartment offers three bedrooms, accommodating 6 to 8 guests, a fully equipped kitchen and spacious lounge and dining areas.
There is a lift, directly into the apartment, which provides level access from the parking garage and street level.
The apartment provides an ideal base for a multitude of sporting and leisure activities both in summer and in winter.
The apartment is fully equipped with everything needed for a luxury holiday. Double glazing with under-floor and radiator heating ensures luxurious warmth throughout the apartment even in the coldest of alpine winters and you can snuggle up on a sofa by the log fire in the winter evenings. There is a 32” television which receives a multitude of channels in many languages, around 10 English speaking channels including BBC1. There is a DVD player with many DVDs to choose from.
There are three bedrooms, two doubles and a twin. There are also two chair beds which can be made up to accommodate a further two guests, giving a total of 8. The kitchen area with its granite worktops has

The list of activities and opportunities to enjoy this beautiful environment with its stunning views is almost endless Whilst both winter and summer can be equally spectacular the nature of the seasons differs greatly In the ski season the area in and around ChampexLac boasts some of the finest ski and snowboarding pistes in Europe ChampexLac itself is a relatively quiet ski area where it is not unusual to have the feeling of having the mountain to oneself nevertheless here is one of the most challenging black pistes in Switzerland The Verbier ski lift complex is just 20 minutes by car from the apartment with more than 100 lifts and many hundreds of kilometres of pistes to suit all tastes and abilities Sports shops and ski hire facilities are available in the village Various forms of crosscountry skiing are available in Champex including Nordic skiing ski de fond and ski skating Many of the footpaths around the village are cleared of snow and for those more adventurous there are many kilometres of raquette snowshoe paths marked out There is a small ice skating rink in the village where it is possible to hire skates Whilst ChampexLac is a quiet and tranquil village it is not without its bars and restaurants plenty of choice for Aprsski In the summertime walking climbing and generally enjoying the Alpine countryside around Champex has been popular with English tourists since the building of Hotel Grand Combin at beginning of the 20th century There is a public heated swimming pool in the village and the lake has a beach and childerens play area Pedalos and boats are available for hire on the lake Just a short walk from the village lies the lush Val D Arpette a beautiful alpine meadow of the floor of this spectacular valley By its very nature the flatbottomed Rhone Valley offers a very sympathetic landscape for leisurely cycling without hills A mainly paved cycle route runs the entire length of the valley from beyond Sion down to the shores of Lake Geneva at Villeneuve
