Local Area Details

The villa is situated on a private estate in the Vinaloop valley, and surrounded by the Serria Mountains. The valley boasts vineyards that supply the local wine, which is very good. The estate is also surrounded by Almond and Orange groves which give off a beautiful aroma during the spring months. On site there is a restored Finca/Restaurant which offers surperb food and local wines, and caters to most tastes. There is live entertainment during the summer months. The area is ideal for nature lovers and has good hiking and jeep safaris.There are 5 Golf courses nearby. On offer locally are Hot Air Balloning, Horse Riding, fishing, Mountain and Quad biking. Yet we are only 20-30 mins from the nearest blue flag beaches.Guardamar is 20mins away with beautiful beaches (7 in all)The sand dunes are well worth a visit. it also boasts a stunning castle and lovely parks as well as the Museum of Archaeology. A 30 min drive away is Santa Pola with crystal clear waters and fine sandy beaches, You can also arrange boat trips to the Island of Tabarca which is well worth a visit. Santa Pola has a great deal to offer with paragliding, windsurfing,sailing, Horse Riding, and many aother attractions. Scuba Diving is available in Alicante.
The villages of Hondon de las Nieves and Frailes are a five minute drive away and offer a large range of Bars/Restaurants, Live Music, Supermarkets, Banks, and local markets. Fiestas are held throughout the summer with Europes largest firework display held in Elche on 13th August.
Elche is also a World Heritage site with 200.000 Palm Trees and boasts spectacular churches and is Spains shoe capital, where it is possible to purchase shoes, bags and leather goods at very good prices. There are blue flag beaches and Aqua Parks within a 30 min drive, where you can laze the day away on the beach or shop till you drop in the large Malls.
