A tastefully renovated typical Breton farm house with an original stone fire place. On the ground floor is an extremely spacious, comfortable beamed lounge with open plan Dining area and fully fitted kitchen. A feature beech staircase leads to the first floor and a large double bedroom with exposed beams and French window providing extensive views of the lake. A further two twin rooms and house bathroom with shower over. This cottage also enjoys oil fired central heating.

Our cottages are self catering accommodation and have there own private garden including garden furniture, parasol and BBQ and share the heated outdoor swimming pool (now fenced and alarmed) with sun-trap patio equipped with pool-side furniture. The gardens surrounding the properties are attractive and well stocked, with the added interest of an original Breton bread oven.

The extensive grounds provide ample space for the more boisterous activities (climbing frame, football goal badminton net etc.)Whilst retaining sufficient space for quiet relaxation and contemplation. Guest can enjoy a quiet game of boules, try their luck fishing in the lake (reached directly from our grounds) or take a gentle stroll round the lake.

Kerhotten is situated right in the heart of rural Brittany, a 300 year old commune of 4 superb detached self catering holiday cottages for rent at the end of a leafy country lane. No passing traffic, nestling in 3 acres of land on the edge of the picturesque LAC DU DORDU.The lake is accessible directly from our grounds and includes a small beach, lakeside bar, children’s play area and assault course. The lake has some large common carp, large Pike, tench perch and even some wild trout.

Langoelan a 20 minute lake side walk or a 2 minute car drive offers a theater boulangerie pizzeria restaurantbar bar and new for 2008 a childrens activity area with football basket ball go carting tennis Driving is a pleasure on wonderfully quiet country roads which wind through beautiful tree lined valleys and sleepy villages This is a fantastic area for cycling rambling and bird watching It is an artists paradise with wonderful light and a painting every time you turn around With so many coastlines many leisure activities are focused on the water sailing surfing canoeing rowing and sand yachting For history fans there are megaliths chteau museums and medieval towns while food lovers will enjoy Breton cuisine known for its legendary seafood artichokes lamb and crpes Locally we can offer Horse riding that is less than 10 mins away and a superb 9 hole golf course about 25 mins away Quad Biking and the famous Lac de Guerledan with all manner of water sports and boat trips is 20 minutes away Fishing is abundance in brittany the Clearwater Lakes is only about 15 min away and the Nantes Brest canal is 15 minutes drive The picturesque Guld de Morbihan is less than an hour away as are the historic towns of Anray Vannes Quimper and Josselin We are centrally located about 40 mins to the west and north coasts there are un spoilt sandy beaches and various attractions Choices of beautiful south coast beaches Lorient for one are 40 mins away Quimper Concarneau are of just two The atmospheric forest of Heulgoat part of the Arthurian legend the medieval forest of Merlin the Magician where the Knights of the Round Table searched for the Holy Grail can be found 45 mins to the north Just 15 minutes away is the Lac de Guerledan which has leisure activities for every member of the family Its rustic landscape and forest is a haven for walkers ramblers mountain bikers and horseriders Whilst its all year round water sports center includes dinghies rowingboats pedaloes and waterskiing boat cruises and good restaurants and is well worth the visit Sandy beaches ideal for children with safe swimming and outdoor cafes enable the less active to enjoy the view without expending too much energy
