Las Tortugas is comprised of three apartments, the ground floor apartment has 2 bedrooms, the two apartments on the second level are 1 bedroom each. All the apartments are fully furnished and fully equipped with complete kitchens....fridge, stove, microwave, toaster, kettle, coffee maker, etc.
All the bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms and all have air conditioning. Each apartment has its own balcony or terrace where you can enjoy your morning coffee.
We have an acre and a half of grounds and gardens for your enjoyment. Relax by our large swimming pool or get your exercise in our 22 meter lap pool. Each of the apartments has a TV, a VCR and DVD player, so feel free to borrow from our extensive movie library at any time. We also have an eclectic pocketbook and paperback library for your pool side or nighttime reading enjoyment.
There is secure onsite parking, barbeques for outdoor cooking and entertaining, an onsite laundry, and weekly housekeeping.
Local Area DetailsWe are located in the beautiful old colonial city of Merida, close to the famous Mayan ruin sites of Chichen Itza and Uxmal, as well as many other smaller sites. Explore the nature reserves, historic points of interest, old churches and convents in and around Merida.
The city of Merida offers great dining, shopping and site seeing. There is great entertainment, theater, dance, music, museums and art galleries, all for you to discover and enjoy. Most areas to see in the Yucatan are within an hours drive of the city, so you are never far away.
