Villa Costa is located in Santo Antonio, within 10 minutes’ bus ride to Funchal city centre, the Praia Formosa Beach is within 10 minutes drive. The region is an oasis of peace and tranquillity. The sea with its translucent blue water and perfect island temperatures. Should you wish to dine out and watch the local artists perform the Folklore dance, you may try one of the restaurants of the hotels in the vicinity or you may also taste the local and international cuisines from the other restaurants along the coastline, all within 10 minutes’ drive from the villa. In case you decide to have a quiet dinner at the villa, the local supermarket will provide you with your fresh vegetables and meat. Public transport is within 2 minutes’ walk.

In the East, visit the traditional A shaped Maderian houses and appreciate the flora around the island. Take the cable cars to Monte and visit and the Monte Palace Gardens, then brave the toboggan ride down to Funchal centre or visit the Botanical gardens, the bird park and the orchid gardens. There is much much more the island has to offer.
