This bright & spacious ground floor apartment is just only 10 minutes away from the airport, so you can be in the apartment within 30 minutes of landing! The owners will send you the key in advance - so you do not have to wait meet anyone or hang around reception. This apartment is ideal for couples, small families and golfers. It is a great base from which to explore Tenerife, have a round or two of golf and/or have a week or two by the pool just chilling out. Tenerife's eternal spring like climate means the sun shines all year round.

Located on the Sand Club complex - a low rise 2 storey apartment complex designed in traditional cool white with terracotta roofs using traditional terracotta half pipe tiles.

The complex has a gated free form swimming pool along with a children's splash pool. There are spacious sun bathing terraces around the pool that add to the quiet atmosphere of the complex.

Across from the complex is Tenerife's premier international 27-hole PGA golf course. Guests of the Sand Club can also enjoy the facilities of the course's Casa Club (Club House).

The apartment is just a short walk away from the many bars and restaurants in the local commercial centre and also to those by the Atlantic Ocean near to the new marina - where you can now enjoy a trip in a submarine. Also nearby is the internationally acclaimed Winter Gardens Bowling Stadium. English is widely spoken across Golf Del Sur.

If the apartment is not booked, the owners we will let you stay until you need go to the airport. So making the most of your holiday. However, this needs to be requested with the owners who will confirm it with you otherwise the normal check in & out times apply.

Unlike the holiday companies who use the complex, the owners do NOT charge for "extras" such as a kettle, fans, the TV(!), the iron and ironing board, toaster, microwave, and the safe. These are standard in the apartment and there is no extra charge.

There is also a FREE welcome pack of Tea, Coffee, Sugar, Milk, Water & Wine for you on arrival.

All the owners client's get a FREE comprehensive guide to the Golf Del Sur area and Tenerife.

The owners are flexible on arrival days - so you can advantage of those cheap midweek flights.

Apartment Details
Sleeping up to 4 (this can be extended to 5 for a baby or small child - if bring your own travel cot/bed or the owners can arrange for one to be hired and paid for locally, it will be there for you on arrival). This apartment is bright, airy, spacious, well equipped with Canarian style solid pine wood furniture throughout.

The Lounge
This spacious area has a double sofa bed with extra storage space, chair in a distressed Spanish style, coffee tables, ceiling fan to keep things cool, decent size television with FREE British TV - BBC 1 & 2, ITV 1, C4 & C5 - it is not a tiny 12" inch portable that is sometimes provided, DVD player and a mini Hi-Fi system.

There is a small collection of books and the owners encourage guests to leave read ones behind.

The Kitchen/Dining Area
Has an American style pine wood fitted kitchen and breakfast bar. It equipped with a 4-ring ceramic hob, fume extractor, toaster, kettle, microwave and fridge. There is a pine wood dining table with chairs for four. All pots and pans, glasses, cutlery and crockery are provided. The owners have also provided some unbreakable plates and glasses for those with small children or if you wish to eat outside on the terrace and not have to worry about breaking the crockery.

The Bedroom
Has a double bed (not often found in 1 bedroom apartments), 2 bedside cabinets with bedside lamps, radio alarm clock, a large full-length fitted wardrobe - hangers are provided, ceiling fan, iron, ironing board, safe (FREE of charge) and hair dryer. Your suitcases can be stored out of sight under the bed or in the wardrobe.

The Bathroom
Has a bath with shower, washbasin an attractive marble surround, illuminated mirror, WC & Washing Machine for your use. Hot water is provided by a 75 litre water heater of the type normally found in a 2 bedroom apartment. So there is always plenty of hot water for those who prefer baths to showers.

Outside
The French doors lead you from the lounge to the sun terrace that has 2 reclining cushioned chairs and a patio table with chairs for 4.

The entrance to the Apartment has no steps leading up to the front door and is suitable for those with walking difficulties.

Local Area Details

Golfing Information
The apartment is across the road from the international Golf Del Sur 3 - 9 hole (North, South and Links) PGA Standard Course one of the Canaries' premier golf courses. It is a short walk to the club house. October to April is the busiest season as golfers from northern Europe get in a round in the sun. Since its inaugural event, the course has been the back drop for various top international tournaments, such as the Shell Wonderful World of Golf tournament with its head-to-head battle between Ernie Els and Phil Mickelson. It has also been the setting for two golf driving distance records, First a new record of 398 yards and then, just a couple of months later, it was broken again with a huge stroke which sent the ball flying 408 yards!! Designed by Pepe Gancedo, is a very enjoyable layout with the black volcanic sand in the bunkers.
There is a special instruction area for teaching golf for groups at the beginner and advanced levels. The area includes different practice tees, greens, bunkers and chipping greens. Clubs and buggies can also be hired.

The Golf Del Sur is not the only local course. The Donald Steele designed Amarilla (also PGA Standard) Golf course is nearby, though a taxi or car is preferable to get to it if you are carrying your clubs! From the course you have incredible views of the majestic Mount Teide. During your round you are surrounded by a broad variety of typical canarian flora. Donald Steel, took advantage of the beautiful contrasts of the Island to achieve a varied course between ravines and the Atlantic Coast. From the first tee, you have spectacular ocean views. The most impressive part of the course is the infamous, 5th hole, where the sea becomes a fairway, making it necessary to cross it in order to reach the green, dropping short or slicing the ball is not advisable!

Finally - The owners advise that if you are looking for a pure beach or clubbing holiday - the Golf Del Sur area is NOT the area for you.
