'Les Coteaux de Lavandes' - This is a lovely house set in a magnificent hill-top location just above the village of Plazac. The house is 1.5kms from the village and offers the facilities of a local boulangerie, post office, organic grocery store and a lively café with a sunny terrace. It also a 15 minute walk to the village restaurant.
The property enjoys total privacy and spectacular views.
The house is composed of one comfortable bedroom, a small bathroom with bath and shower, a separate toilet, and a large living / dining room with a fully equipped kitchen area - equipped with electric oven, gas hob top, fridge, microwave, coffee machine, washing machine etc. The living area has satellite television and a comfortable bed-settee to accommodate for 2 extra guests if required. The French windows open out to the chalet style balcony - terrace, set on stilts, overlooking the surrounding countryside
The private pool is set behind the house in a clearing in the pine forest and is totally secluded. There is comfortable wooden garden furniture set around the pool on the terrace and a barbecue is available for evening meals by the pool.
Local Area DetailsLes Coteaux de Lavande is situated in the heart of the Perigord Noir, perfect for visiting all the historical sites and Chateaux the area is famous for. Just 12kms away the market town of Montignac can be found, with shops, restaurants, cafes and the famous Caves of Lascaux II. Les Eyzies is also 17kms away, and named the Centre of Prehistory in Europe. Here there are numerous caves to visit, canoeing on the Vezere river, mountain bikes to hire, and Chateaux to visit within a 20 minute or less drive.
Just 2km from the property on the edge of the village of Plazac is a delightful fresh water lake, open to the public in high season, for swimming and fishing. There is also an open air swimming pool and tennis courts available to use.
This area of the Dordogne is enchanting, with a calm pace of life and steeped in history, there is a little something for everyone in the family to enjoy.
