Local Area DetailsBad Ischl is the heart of the Salzkammergut. There are lakes and mountains all around. In winter the skiing in this area is superb, with skiing on the Katrinalm, less than 5 minutes by car from the apartments, or try Dachstein West and Postalm for superb skiing ,both are about 30 minutes away by car. Direct to slopes transfer is available.
Or just enjoy the snow with sleigh rides, ice skaiting and winter walks.
When the snows melt, this area has a huge range of activities available including walking, cycling,paragliding, water sports, climbing, scuba diving, horseriding,golf.
Super sightseeing. Bad Ischl was once the summer home of the Austrian royal family and the summer palace is open to visitors. Daily concerts throughout the summer and the Lehar Operetta Festival, and to the charm of this lovely town. Easy to reach Salzburg, Hallstatt and lake Wolfgang.
Excellent public transport but we recommend a car to fully enjoy what this regionhas to offer.
