Local Area Details

Villa Xeric is situated in the residential area of Montgo, L'Escala. It is a short down-hill walk to the beach, local shops, bars and restaurants. To drive into L'Escala or Riels takes less than 10 minutes. There are water sports available locally and it is a popular place for sailing and diving. A short drive to the other side of L'Escala brings to to a large unspoilt beach which backs onto the famous Roman/Greek ruins. Girona airport is a 45 minute drive and the City of Girona is worth a visit as is Figueres approximately 30 minutes away and of course Barcelona 1 hr 30 minutes away. A longer excursion to Andorra would take apporximately 4 hours. There are many closer places to visit in the foothills of the Pyrenees including a number of ski resorts.
