This spacious apartment has a total area of 110 M². and is on the second floor in an excellent location. It is conveniently positioned equal distance between the ski gondola, 10 minute walk, and the old town. As the apartment is on the second floor this gives the added benefit of stunning views of the mountains from the two balconies leading off the lounge and second bedroom. The apartment comprises of two bedrooms, large sitting room with dining area, bathroom and large lobby area. The apartment is fitted out with contemporary furnishings. The kitchen is open plan with electric cooker, electric hob, fridge freezer, toaster and equipped for 6 people. The sitting room has TV with play station and DVD player. There is satellite television with several English channels. The apartment sleeps 6 people; there is a sofa bed in the sitting room. Linen and towels are provided. There is plenty of parking available adjacent to the apartment building.

There is also an excellent restaurant in the apartment building serving a wide range of local dishes at very reasonable prices.

There is a communal Jacuzzi and Sauna in the building, available for guests of the apartment, parking available.

Local Area Details

Bansko is situated nearby the river Glazne in the north- eastern foot of Pirin, right below the highest and most beautiful part of the mountain. Its name comes from the Old Bulgarian word “ban”, which means “master”. It is just 160 kilometers away from Sofia and 6 kilometers from Razlog. Of course there's a lot to see in and around the town of Bansko, with many cultural and historical monuments to explore. South of Bansko is the beautiful Pirin Mountain range with glacial lakes, waterfalls and caves. Staroto Gradishte is just four kilometers from Bansko where there are remains from ancient fortresses and Thracian mound hills.

In Bansko there is plenty of restaurants to choose from. A lot of the hotels have spa centres with swimming pools, which are available to use. The towns old quarter is best seen on foot, here you can see old stone built houses, mehanas (local restaurants) and small shops along the cobbled streets. Just of the central square is the Church of Holy Trinity there is a regular market selling local artists work and local handcrafts.
Bansko is Bulgaria's largest and most modern ski resort, with over 65 kilometers of marked ski runs, you can ski back to Bansko along a 16km run. There is a variety of pistes for beginners to advanced skiers. For the more adventurous skier, you can book a guide for off-piste skiing. The apartment is situated 400m from the main gondola, a 10 minute walk or there are various buses available nearby. Bansko is located on 925m above sea level and the skiing area is up to 2600 m. The resort has excellent snow conditions with great snow cover from December until May. There are 44 snow cannons which cover most of the slopes and make the ski season last longer.

There are several restaurants and bars on the mountain side. Ski hire is available at the gondola station, where ski lessons can be booked. If you have your own equipment, there is superb ski lockers for storing your ski's for the night.
Mountain walks - There are some amazing mountain walks in the Pirin Mountain and Pirin National Park with some peaks rising to 2,500m, glacial lakes, old forests & waterfall. Mountain guides are available at very reasonable prices, alternatively you can try out some of the organized walks, there are .

Mountain Biking - Bike hire is available from from as little as BGN 20. You will be asked for a deposit. There are plenty of marked paths, some companies offer guided tours but if you prefer to self hire they should be able to give you a maps.

Fishing - Bansko has some excellent locations for fishing. Prices start at €1 per day if you have your own equipment, depending on a successful catch there may be a further charge.

Horse Riding, Jeep Safari, Kayaking & Rock Climbing are available.
