Our Luxury Log Cabin is constructed from the finest traditional Kelo Logs and has two double bedrooms and a further loft bedroom. It is fully equipped with kitchen appliances, washing machine, wet clothes dryer, toilet, sauna with shower, log burner and open plan living/dining area.
Local Area DetailsYllas is set in the unspoilt arctic wilderness of lapland in Northern Finland and lies 35km north-east of Kolari. The are comprises of several fells and two lappish villages. On the northern side of Yllas Fell lies the village of Akaslompolo (Where our cabin is located) and on the southern side lies the village of Yllasjarvi.
There are numerous activities for you to choose from including Santa Trips, Husky Dog Safaris, Reindeer Safaris, Skiing (Downhill or Nordic) & Snowboarding in Winter or Fishing, Cycling, Canoeing, Lake Swimming & Trekking in the Summer.
Lapland is widely recognised as the home of Santa and is a magical destination for all the family. If you get lucky, you may see the Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights) in the winter or you could be enjoying the midnight sun in the summer.
For winter sports, the area is long established with 78 ski runs (on Yllas Fell) and over 300km of cross country ski tracks that are suitable for both beginners and the more experienced. Our cabin is ideally placed for accessing the Slopes and are just 5 minutes away via the resorts regular ski bus service.
