WWW.RAFFIGNE.NL -Vacation home with a pool: 15 min. from Bergerac airport (RYANAIR)-Vacation Home La Raffigne, a comfortable living space in a renovated farm, is located in the hamlet La Raffigne, offering a wide view over the green Dordogne valley. The detached vacation home contains a very spacious and sunny living-dining room of 60 m2 (71 yd2). The lounge is situated around a wood-burning stove. The kitchen has a modern design, a 5-pits gas cooker with oven, a fridge and a dishwasher. A freezer and washing machine are located in an adjacent room. The living room offers a sleeping place for two persons (double bed). The bedroom contains two single beds and a mezzanine storey with also two single beds. The vacation home has a modern bathroom with washing table, shower and toilet.
The terrace, facing south, and the swimming pool with another terrace can be reached through the sliding door in the living room. The terraces contain a charcoal barbecue, deck chairs and parasols. Standing on the terrace, you can see the village Liorac sur Louyre in the distance. Around the vacation home lies a garden with a small orchard. The area is very peaceful and offers a lot of privacy. The vacation home has a private parking space.
Local Area DetailsLa Raffigne is located 15 minutes by car from the medieval wine town Bergerac. It also takes 15 minutes by car to get to the Bergerac Airport. In Bergerac a big market is held twice a week where farmers from the region offer their products. The town has excellent restaurants, offering local delicacies like foie gras and truffles. Further south lies the famous chateau Monbazillac, which is noted for its straw-coloured, aromatic dessert wines. There are a lot of wine chateaus around Bergerac producing rich red wines. The wine city of France, Bordeaux, can be reached with a one and a half hour drive from Bergerac.
If you like antiquities, the region around Bergerac offers many sights worth seeing. On the Dordogne riverbanks lie spectacular medieval castles, like Chateau Beynac. A great number of romanesque and gothic churches can also be found in the area. The highlight of the Christian sights is the basilica Saint Front in Perigueux , which has Byzantine origins. 15 minutes by car from La Raffigne stalactite- and stalagmite caves and cave paintings have been discovered. From the vacation home it takes you one hour to reach the caves of Lascaux.
A five minute drive from the vacation home takes you to a nice 9 hole golf course. The region offers many swimming, hiking and cycling possibilities.

Note! Max. of 4 persons (children included) permitted. For children of the age of 12 years and younger the stay is free, under the supervision of at least one adult.
Bed linen and towels are not provided, but can be rented at the vacation home for 25 euro per week per person, payable in cash. Pets are not allowed (exceptions only made after consultation with the family De Noord).
Rent is per week, from Saturday 4.00 pm to next Saturday 11.00 am. A down payment of 25 % of the total rent fee is required. After cancellation of a reservation the down payment will be converted into cancellation- and booking costs. |
