The Bungalow is in the beautifull village of Saint Martin De Sanzay. It is a two bedroom property that will sleep six using the pull out futon in the lounge. It has a double bed in the rear bedroom and two sets of bunk beds in the other sleeping four. As we are a family of six there is plenty of cutlery, chairs, etc. for indoor and outdoor use. There is a fully tiled shower room (no bath) shower only. It has a large garden (mainly grass)with a few mature fruit trees and a grape vine. To the rear of the garden is a river that can be fished, it holds a large variety of fish large and small. From here you can look over to a small island where you can see a variety of birds including a pair of kingfishers if you are lucky. To the rear of the house is a patio with a brick built B.B.Q. chairs, loungers, patio table etc. There is plenty of car parking within the grounds to the front of the house. Generaly it is the ideal location for a relaxing holiday for young and older people alike. Best port CAEN 3.5 hours.

Local Area Details

Saint Martin De Sanzay is in one of the most beautiful areas of France. In the village There is a well priced restaurant (2 min. walk) and across the road from here a bar and tabac that sells fresh French bread, sweets, snacks, and a small amount of fishing gear. across the square is a post office. The other end of the village is a large lake and picnic area and crazy golf. Just behind the lake is another restaurant in the old mill.(moulin de couche) set by the side of the river Thouet. 3 miles from the house takes you to the ancient town of Montreuil Bellay with its fairy tail Chateau perched on the hill, overlooking the river Thouet. From here you can hire pedalows or sit and taste the local wines from one of the bars. Approx. 20 mins. is the town of Saumur, again a must to visit, Resaurants, Bars, shops, and caves along the edges of the River Loire. Other attractions within mostly short drives are swimming, lakes with beaches, pleasure parks, zoo etc. Golf near Saumur, (approx 14 miles) can be viewed on the web,(search for "golf de Saumur")
