It offers self-catering accommodation in Glenridding, in a traditional cottage but with all the mod cons like central heating, wood burning stove, washing machine and a power shower! The cottage sleeps four people in a double and twin room. Well behaved pets welcome!
The cottage is located above Glenridding, with views from the garden over Lake Ullswater, and stunning views to the front of the foothills of Helvellyn. Local Area DetailsGlenridding on Ullswater as its name suggest is nestled on the banks of Lake Ullswater.
It combines the charm of a small lakeland village with the amenities needed to support you during your stay, including a tourist information centre, two convenience stores and a newsagent, 3 pubs, 2 hotels, a garage and an outdoor equipment shop.
The nearest pub - the Travellers rest Inn, is about 500 yards down the hill.
Glenridding caters for all levels of Lakeland enthusiasts, and Helvellyn Cottage is ideally located to make the most of your stay. For the casual walker steamers sail to various points of the lake allowing a gentle walk around the shoreline. For the more adventurous Helvellyn, Place Fell, Sheffield Pike and St Sunday Crag are all close by. In fact apart from the Helvellyn youth hostel our cottage and those around it are pretty much the nearest place to the top of Helvellyn you could possibly stay in - except a tent!
