Breakaway Retreat accommodation is a purpose built 2-bedroom self contained guest house, with open plan living, fully equipped kitchen, king-size bed, 2 single beds, 2-person spa bath, shower, laundry, 2 Kayaks, BBQ, heat pump and wrap around decks to relax in and enjoy the spectacular sea views. Breakaway Retreat can accommodate up to four people.
With its stunning location, excellent facilities, and spectacular sea views, Breakaway Retreat makes an ideal place for a self catering holiday for the family or a romantic retreat for two.
A great place to go kayaking, fishing, water skiing, diving, sailing, windsurfing, coastal walks or just relaxing on the beach soaking up the sun. There are a number of boat ramps nearby for launching small runabouts or sailing vessels. Once you have launched your boat you can then anchor your boat in front of Breakaway Retreat for easy access during your stay.

Walking tracks in the area:
Mt Manaia: 3.5 km / 1.5 hours to summit, 2.5 – 3 hours return to the car park.
NB: there is an alternative route from the summit for agile people above average fitness – 40 minutes one way.
Busby Head: 3 km / 1 hours loop track. Urquharts Bay car park – Smugglers Cove: 20 min
Peach Cove: 2 hours return
Te Whara: 7.5 km / 5 hours (one way). Urquharts Bay to Ocean Beach
Ocean Beach: Great surf beach. Also enjoy a walk along this beautiful white sandy beach.
