The property is situated among the Chianti hills in a splendid panoramic position, surrounded by vineyards and olive groves. It is in strategic location, very close to the city of Florence ( about a 15 minutes drive) and Siena (35 minutes drive). Niccolò Machiavelli used to live right up the road and his house can still be visited (some interesting exhibitions) and where an excellent restaurant that serves typical Tuscan specialities.
The guest house, made of stone, has been restored in impeccable Tuscan tradition with much attention given to modem comforts.
The owner’s wife is an artist who makes Austrian style wood ceramic stoves, one of which is in the living room of the guest house.
Local Area DetailsThe name of the villa "Salve Regina" originates from the fact that this was the last post before the land of highwaymen on the road to Siena, where voyagers would offer their last prayer to the Queen of the Sky, for safe conduct.
