Local Area DetailsLos Altos is 10 minutes drive south of Torrevieja. The apartment is on a development of Andalucian style, classy low rise buildings about 500 metres from the N332 coast road. The apartment overlooks the communal pool and has its own small garden. Local restaurants, shops, garage, bars, banks and supermarkets at Punta Prima are all within very easy walking distance. A car is not essential but would certainly add to your holiday as there are loads of great beaches within 10 minutes drive, further afield the historic cities of Cartagena, Orihueal and Murcia are all worth a visit. If you prefer to use public transport there is an hourly bus service to Torrevieja costing one euro each way. Further afield (about 40 minutes drive) there are the unspoilt, very scenic beaches at Calblanque with water so clear you can see the fishes swimming round your feet. The Mar Menor and La Manga also merit exploring on a day trip. There are good motorway connections to both Alicante and Murcia Airport
