Local Area DetailsOur villa is ideally situated in the heart of the Costa del Sol in an area known as Mijas Costa approximately midway between Marbella and Malaga and is on one of the most beautiful stretches of the Mediterranean coastline which is bathed in sunshine for most of the year. It is close to Fuengirola and the location is quiet and peaceful with tropical plants and shrubs. The surrounding villas are all privately owned. Our pool is regularly cleaned and maintained. A sandy beach is just a few minutes walk from our villa and is safely reached via an underpass or by a bridge over the coastal road. There are sun beds and shades on the beach with restaurants and bars in the vicinity of our villa and the beach.
If you wish to have a change from the peaceful surroundings of our villa there are excellent shopping and leisure facilities at Fuengirola, a lively town, a few minutes drive away, including large, well stocked supermarkets, numerous bars, a large variety of restaurants (including Indian, Chinese, Italian, etc.) - all at very reasonable prices. There are boutiques, discos, long promenades and a picturesque marina. The whole area of Mijas Costa is renowned for its leisure activities which include golf, tennis, horse riding and water sports, etc. There is also a large Aqua Park at Fuengirola and a few miles further on, at Benalmadena, there is Tivoli World, both highly recommended for the children especially.
