The subtropical garden makes a lush retreat from the bustle of the city. The garden is jam-packed with cycads, trees, ferns and wild plants and has got a crystal clear swimming pool for a refreshing dip. Bordering the pool is our bushveld bar plus braai area where you can sit back and relax with your favourite drink. We frequently organise braais (bbq’s), potjies (a local stew cooked on the fire), sundowner trips, and fun trips to local spots we enjoy.

Sharalumi Backpacker’s Lodge is a relaxed and informal place, and the perfect place to meet up with both fellow travellers and locals. Sharalumi is ideally situated in the heart of Pretoria, right in the middle of the lively Hatfield area. We are within walking distance of shops, cinema’s, market and vibey Hatfield square where you can take your pick out of plenty clubs, bars and restaurants.
