Located near the town of Derby,Newport, Island Pond in Vermont's Northeast Kingdom, Seymour Lake is one of Vermont's most beautiful lakes and can be explored in one of the lodge's free canoes or kayaks. On a warm sunny day a swim in the lake is very refreshing at the half-mile beach directly across the lodge. At day's end, sit on the large porch and enjoy the beautiful view over the lake having dinner as a common kitchen is provided with outside BBQ's for your convenience. Children are playing pingpong, games, reading, or watching satellite Disney programs. Campfires on request.
Historical country lodge from the 1920's with an antique shop on premises. fishing, biking, hiking, golf, continental breakfast. Fall foliage abounds in red and yellows as the maple trees produce brilliance in the fall. Great lake for brown trout, small mouth bass, lake trout and salmon.
Just above the lodge in surrounding mountains are several ponds and streams that are a wildlife refuge. Great nature trails and birding.
