In the winter, you will enjoy the many winter sports offered in the area. Heitman's Haven is only 2.75 miles from Ski Beech Resort where you can go skiing or ice skating. There is also sledding at the hill beside Town Hall on Beech Mtn.
In the summer, the beautiful Beech Mountain Club Golf Course is a little over 1 mile while tennis at Buckeye Lake Recreation Area is only about .5 mile away. Buckeye Lake Recreation Area has tennis, picnic area, canoeing, basketball courts, and much more.
Guests have access (from May-Oct. with a fee) to the renowned Beech Mtn. Country Club. Championship golf, heated pool, top-notch tennis facilities and fine dining can be yours at the club.
