When staying at one of the two lovely new pet friendly log cabins we call Deer Crossing you need to keep your eyes peeled for the many deer, beaver, turkeys and other tame wild life that finds a safe refuge on Beech Mountain. Each of these authentic log cabins has all the modern conveniences including a hot tub making it the perfect log cabin experience in the mountains.
While both cabins are very similar Deer Crossing 118 is a bit smallerthan its neighbor, Deer Crossing 116. The "chef of the day" will really enjoy being a part of it all as he or she prepares meals with the open floor plan of the kitchen, living room and dining area. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes a ceramic top stove, a microwave, coffeemaker and toaster. In the living room, there is a comfortable queen-size sleeper sofa. The large stone wood burning fireplace in the corner will provide many cozy evenings in front of the fire after a day of skiing , hiking, or sight-seeing. You will also appreciate the large 32" TV with Satellite. There is a bedroom with queen size bed and bath on the main level.

Upstairs you will find the master bedroom with queensized bed, TV, and its own bath. The cabin would be great for two couples since each bedroom has its own bath.

The out-of-doors is great on Beech Mountain and guests will appreciate the 4 person hot tub on the deck. The grill is ready for you to fire up and enjoy those cook-outs.
If you wish to bring a small very well behaved canine family member along you may request permission and pay the proper deposits and fees so Fido can accompany you.
It is approximately 2-1/2 miles from the entrance to Ski Beech. In the summer you will appreciate the fact that this cabin has Beech Mountain Club privileges.
This will allow you to have access to the Olympic size swimming pool, the outstanding golf course, tennis facilities, the fitness center, youth activities, and the wonderful restaurant. There are fees associated with the Beech mtn Club if you choose to use it. This cabin is only a mile or so from the new recreation facility at Buckeye Lake on Beech Mountain. There are still fishing, baseball, basketball and picnic areas outdoors there, but the new indoor facility has tennis, fitness, basketball, track, and a meeting room. There are some fees associated with the indoor facilities at the recreation area.

Also, this cabin is right next door to our Deer Crossing Log Cabin 118 for friends or family members who want to have their privacy but also want to be close together.
