Here you are 200 meters away from the popular and famous place of Prenzlauer Berg (or Prenzlberg - how is the quarter lovely named), the Kollwitzplatz. The Kollwitzplatz was redevelopped and modernized - so a lot of cafes, restaurants, clubs, discos and artist studios were arising.
When the weather is nice life is happening outside and in the evening or in the night you may meet the same people which you already met at another place during the day.
Taking the nearby U-Bahn you will be within 2 stops at Alexanderplatz with Nikolaiviertel and the Rotes Rathaus - the government seat of the Berliner Senat.
Here will also begin the splendid street "Unter den Linden" which leads directly to the Brandenburger Tor - along Humboldt Universität, Staatsoper - museums and a lot of any other sights. The street "Unter den Linden" crosses Friedrichstrasse - you may walk to Gendarmenmarkt - or into the other direction to Friedrichstadt-Palast, to Synagoge or to the Museumsinsel (with Pergamon-Altar).
You will walk only 4-5 minutes from Alexanderplatz to Hackescher Markt, from here to Synagoge and then you may stroll along the Oranienburger Straße.
