The cottages have been developed within the bounds of a farm square (built circa 1860), forming three very high quality self-catering units. Each cottage consists of three bedrooms, one double, one twin bedded room and a ground floor bedroom containing two full size bunk beds, a lounge/dining room, a kitchen and a bathroom with w.c.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge freezer, electric cooker, microwave oven, dishwasher and washing machine tumble dryer. All the cottages have colour television, video recorder, radio/tape/C.D. player and electric central heating. Electricity is from a metered supply and is charged at the current rate. All linen is provided, for very young children a cot, high chair and stair gate are available by prior arrangement. There is access from the drying room , where wet weather gear and boots can be dried out overnight ,to a games room with Pool table (40p/game), and a table tennis table. For health and safety reasons, smoking is NOT ALLOWED in the cottages.

Local Area Details

The farm is bounded on one side by the quiet single-track gated road, which runs the length of the glen, and on the other by the Clachandubh burn (free fishing for brown trout).
At Barmolloch you are in the heart of a naturalists paradise, with numerous walks recently made available by the forestry commission. The area abounds in wildlife, with deer, buzzards and Golden eagles a common sight. The surrounding countryside offers unsurpassed scenery and opportunities for the artist, photographer, walker and naturalist to indulge in their own activities undisturbed by holiday crowds and traffic.
From Barmolloch it is a short journey to the beautiful Kintyre peninsula with it’s sandy beaches, mild climate and fascinating variety of bird and animal life. The area has so much to offer the visitor. Golf, windsurfing, surfing, superb walking, mountain biking, island hopping and sailing or simply taking in those breathtaking views. With it’s harsh rugged west coastline exposed to the rigors of the Atlantic, to the tranquil east coast with it’s views across the sheltered waters of the firth of Clyde, this beautiful corner of Argyll gives all the advantages of an island without the problems of access. It can however be a base for a spot of island hopping to Arran, Gigha, Islay, Jura, Mull and Iona.
