Completely private gardens and parking make The Green House a true home away from home sleeping 6 easily and 8 with xtra beds. You will have full use of the facilties at The Nautilus Resort across the road during your stay: 16metre swimming pool, a fabulous 84 jet spa pool, tennis court, children's play area and trampoline; boat parking, washing facilities and fish preparation area.
Local Area DetailsThe Green House on Puketona Road, Paihia is in a beautiful setting on the edge of Paihia-the hub of the beautiful Bay of Islands in the Far North of New Zealand. It is only 200m from the sandy Ti Beach, and less than 1km from shops, restaurants, bars & wharf, golf course and the historic Waitangi Treaty grounds. The modern history of New Zealand began right here. The first European settlers landed just a stone's throw from The Green House. It's just a short walk to the world famous Treary grounds, where the Treaty of Waitangi was signed in 1840.
Wildlife is a plenty here; Parakeets, Herons, Kingfishers, Plovers, Quails and many other birds are regularly seen in and around The Green House. Kiwis shout out at night with their distinctive call. If it is adventure & excitement you seek, look no further than the Bay of Islands. Every conceivable activity is catered for from Paihia. From diving the Rainbow Warrior and the spectacular subtropical undersea world, to sailing, kayaking, fishing or flying above it; try quad-biking, trekking or parachuting.. Take a more leisurely cruise around the Islands and watch the dolphins & whales. Visit the Northern most tip of New Zealand, Cape Reinga and be driven along 90 mile beach to get there.
