Local Area DetailsAt the tip of south Kerry, Valentia is a little piece of Irish heaven! This little island connected by landbridge and ferry to the mainland at Portmagee, offers the holidaymaker crystal clear diving waters, unspoilt beaches, deep sea fishing, wonderful walking – all in an unspoilt, peaceful environment.
Valentia is one of the more scenic, untouched areas off the south coast of Kerry, an island steeped in history. This attractive cluster of holiday homes, known as Knights Haven, is set in thoughtfully landscaped grounds, just minutes from the picturesque tiny village of Knightstown. Located on the southeastern edge of the island, nestled from the Atlantic by the mainland, each of these stylish, meticulously presented houses are located within a few minutes walk of the village which has a local shop, pub, number of restaurants and a quaint pier linked by ferry to the mainland at Portmagee.
The Island is an ideal base to tour the South Kerry region. Activities on the island include fishing, cycling or hiking on the many nature trails and to the tip of the Island, Bray Head. The more adventurous can enjoy deep seas diving offered by the local diving school. Local attractions include a boat trip to Skellig Rock, Killarney, Ring of Kerry, Killarney, Derrynane House and a choice of spectacular beaches.

| A booking is not confirmed until the deposit of 50% ( or payment in full )has been received along with a completed reservation form. Final payment 12 weeks before arrival.A SECURITY DEPOSIT of 130 per house must be given to the supervisor on arrival. A higher deposit maybe required if more than one property is recerved by customers. In the unlikely event of damage to the property or its contents, the cost of replacements or repairs will be deducted from the security deposit after consultation with the supervisor. Final cleaning is included in the rental charge, however a charge of ?20 would be levied if the property is not returned in a tidy condition. Properties will be available on the date of arrival between 16.00 hours and 21.00 hours and the property must be vacated at 10.00 hrs on the date of departure. Arrival time outside these hours must be by prior arrangement with the supervisor. Failure to notify the supervisor of late arrivals could result in keys not being available. No pets are allowed in any property under any circumstance unless expressly advertised as being a pet friendly location. Electricity is charged at €5 per day June / July/ August; €8 per day rest of year. Towels are available for hire at €2 per set (1 hand towel and 1 bath towel) payable to the supervisor |
