Restored group of three stone cottages, sleeping 4, 6 & 6 with 10 x 5m swimming pool.
La Fretu has been completely renovated and provide the highest standard of comfort. Furnished and decorated tastefully the interiors retain many original features including exposed stonework, wood burning fires and beamed ceilings to the upstairs bedrooms. Accommodation is provided in one master en-suite double bedroom and two twin rooms that share the family bathroom. It also has a fully fitted kitchen equipped with washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, and fridge freezer.
It benefits from central heating fuelled from the back boiler of the wood burning stoves set into the fireplaces which provide the living areas with a cosy ambience whilst warming the cottage for out of season lets. Outside it has its own terrace area with barbecues and patio furniture for al fresco dining or for lazy afternoons spent sipping cocktails or long gin & tonics. The lounge has Satellite TV & DVD Players. Cots, high chairs and buggies provided free of charge.
Shared between the properties is the on-site heated swimming pool, fenced for safety and decked for comfort. There is ample sun terracing surrounding our pool with plenty of seating and sun beds to soak up the rays or to simply relax by the pool and enjoy the views overlooking the countryside. There is plenty to keep the children occupied, they will love exploring our own private forest or playing in our children's play area. To the rear of the cottages there is a large playing field which boasts football posts and more appealingly for both the young and 'young at heart' (there's no age limit) a full size trampoline. Prices included linen except towels. Sorry we do not accept pets.

Local Area Details

The gardens immediately surrounding the properties cover approximately 4 acres with a mixture of lawns, flower beds, shrubs and trees. They provide a great place for children to play safely and all guests are welcome to explore every corner. The property's elevated position makes it a natural suntrap but within our large gardens you will find plenty of tree shaded places to keep children out of the hot mid-day sun. Picnic benches have been provided in both sunny and shaded spots in the garden so guests can enjoy sunny breakfast times whilst later seeking shade for afternoon aperitifs. Opposite the cottages are an ancient bread oven and well (covered for safety) a very pretty reminder of the basic ways of bygone days. Here you will find a specially designated area for the smaller children to play with sandpit, seesaw and toddler slide.
The large pine trees offer much needed shade for the little ones and also provide a great hide and seek adventure area. There is plenty to keep the older children occupied too, they will love exploring our own private forest or roaming around the grounds. To the rear of the cottages there is a large grassed play area containing multi-swing frame, basketball net, table tennis, badminton net and football posts. . Within sight of both the pool area and the cottages is a 14ft trampoline, which will appeal to both the young and 'young at heart' - there's no age limit. Also for all ages is the boule court which can be great fun whilst being competitive too, with sets of boule being provided in every cottage there's no excuse not to form teams and play your neighbours. Our gardens are a lovely place to sit, relax, make friends and watch the children playing safely. And by evening, dine whilst gazing at the magnificent sunsets, and later sip your wine under the starlit skies.
