Molin del Resco is a renovated 17th century watermill nestled in a valley of terraced olive trees with a mountain stream running through the 3 acre estate. THE STABLE is an independent apartment located on the ground floor of the main mill house providing the comforts of a modern holiday home in a traditional Tuscan setting.
The property is secluded, but not isolated; the local village can be reached in under ten minutes on foot along a local footpath. Florence is only 35 km away and other important Tuscan cities are also within easy reach: Arezzo (45km), Siena (50km), Lucca (60 km) Assisi( 60 km).
At Molin del Resco you can enjoy nature to the full. Relax in a hammock next to the mountain stream, take a swim in our 8 x 4.5 meter swimming pool with wooden deck for sunbathing and open-air shower, or simply enjoy a BBQ accompanied by our red wine, olive oil and home-grown vegetables.
Local Area DetailsMolin del Resco is set on the slopes of the Pratomagno mountain range, 350 meters above sea-level. This is an area of breathtaking beauty and aslo offers many places of historical and cultural interest which are far from the beaten tourist track. Visit the local markets and fairs, not to mention the excellent restaurants and pizzeries where you can taste genuine Tuscan cuisine.
Additional InformationAbout WalkingThe Pratomagno area, where our property is located, is well known for its hiking trails, footpaths and mountain itineraries. We can provided maps, and provide itineraries for excursions whether you are a relaxed rambler or an experienced mountain climber.
About TransportA car is essential for a holiday at Molin del Resco. There are no local bus or train services in the area.
However the train station of Figline is only a 5 minute drive from Molin del Resco and from here is an excellent train service for Florence and Arezzo (20 minutes) so that you can avoid driving and parking in the cities.
