An absolutely delightful hide-away in a commanding position at the top of a mountain track, just slightly further on from our villa Casa Nevero. Mediterraneo has spectacular sea views as well as breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. The free-form swimming pool is set in plentiful sun terracing with potted plants and some trees providing welcome shade. Mediterraneo is built into the side of the mountain and it¹s high setting and lack of neighbours makes it a very private property and perfect for a real `away from it all' holiday. At the entrance to the villa is a shaded dining terrace which also enjoys the same magnificent vistas. A purpose built barbecue and food preparation area, constructed using the same red Andalucian brick as the villa, adjoins the dining terrace making al-fresco dining the order of the day. If you can bear to tear yourself away from the amazing views, inside you will find cosy accommodation all on one level, furnished in dark wood with a rustic feel. The dining terrace leads into the open plan lounge/diner which has a glass-fronted, corner fire and a breakfast bar separating the small kitchen. The bedrooms, a double and a twin, adjoin the lounge area and are separated by a shower room. Fixtures and fittings are new throughout the villa but with a traditional look and the ambience is cosy and rustic. Daytime flights are essential here.

The raised sunbathing area is the perfect spot to take in the sensational views. A unique mountain retreat - ideal for couples with a pleasant homely feel.

Local Area Details

Situated on the coast approx 50 km from the capital city of Malaga. Nerja was once a quiet fishing village and the old quarter has remained virtually unchanged with delightful narrow streets and whitewashed Moorish houses with wrought iron terraces set against the dramatic backdrop of the Sierra Almijara mountain range. Nerja boasts 16 kilometres of beautiful beaches with all major water sports on offer including water skiing, scuba diving and sailing. One of the best beaches is Burriana. The town's monuments include the 17th century Church of El Salvador and the beautiful Gardens of Capistrano Playa, which descend to Burriana Beach. Built on the cliff edge the spectacular Balcon de Europa, (Balcony of Europe) is a magnificent view point and promenade with panoramic vistas of the sparkling Mediterranean and small coves and beaches below
