Local Area DetailsLas Vertientes is a small mountain village less than 1km from the E92 motorway. There is a shop, two bars/restaurants, a service station and a hotel in the village. The village is half way between Velez-Rubio and Baza. This is an ideal apartment to spend a relaxing holiday in a rural setting. There are spectacular views of the Sierra Maria mountain range, and all the facilities of the village are within walking distance of the apartment. The surrounding villages can be accessed by walking along the many tracks leading to them or by driving a short distance. Cullar, Venta Quemada, El Contador and Chirivel are all within a maximum 15 minute drive. Cullar is a large market town, as is Chirivel. Both of these towns have public swimming pools or alternatively you can visit Venta Quemada where there are two restaurants and several bars with a swimming pool which is open to the public. Skiing is 1.5 hours away, beach just over an hour's drive.
