Small, family run hotel, with a welcoming and unique atmosphere and personal service, Solar de Mós was planned with all the character and charm of an antique Portuguese ""Solar.""
The hotel is built on two floors and has 15 well appointed bedrooms all with terrace or balcony.
The public area at the Solar de Mós boasts a very comfortable dinning area with bar, fireplace and an adjacent lounge area all air-conditioned.
Double doors lead to the sun terrace, swimming pool and the well maintained gardens.
The breakfast is buffet and in the terrace or in the dinning room we serve Regional meals.
The hotel has 15 rooms:13 of them with twin beds and 2 with French beds. The floor is in tiles and all of them have balcony or terrace with chairs and a table.
We provide 7 days cleaning service.
Each room is equipped with private bathroom (with bathrobe), direct dial telephone, alarm clock, cable and satellite TV with 45 channels and air conditioning.
A private safe is available for a small charge.
Local Area DetailsSolar de Mós is situated in one of the most beautiful areas of Lagos, in the direction to beach Porto de Mós. The hotel is located 2.000 mts west from the historical town centre. Nearby we can find the beaches of Porto de Mós (800 mts) and of D. Ana (1500 mts). Also close by (2000 mts) you can enjoy a unique landscape of the Atlantic Ocean in Ponta da Piedade. The property is within 300 m of the nearest restaurants, supermarket, tennis course, fitness centre and other amenities.

About HistoryLagos was previously named Lacobriga and subsequently changed to Zawiya when occupied by the Arabs. This changed the city into a prosperous and popular area and hence the discerning tourists come back year after year.
The city was almost destroyed in 1755 due to an earthquake. Little was left of the city but what was can be seen to this day like the city walls and the “Forte Ponta da Bandeira�.
