This lovely ground floor apartment is in the small fishing village of Puerto de Mazarron. It has two double bedrooms (one with twin beds, a comfortable living room, well equipped kitchen and bathroom (linen and hand towels provided), balcony, garage and shared pool.
Shops, cafes, bars and several beautiful sandy beaches are all within about ten minutes' walk, as are banks, cash dispensers, telephone and post boxes.
The apartment is in a small block of about 28 apartments, and has an entry-phone and a lift to the garage and other floors.
Many of the other apartments are residential, occupied by English and Spanish families.
Easy to access with prams and wheelchairs.

The area is partly residential and partly private or let holiday accommodation. It has been very well developed with a variety of pretty buildings of different sizes and styles, many with luxurious, tropical gardens.
There is a big hotel - El Cumbre - a few blocks away, where anyone can eat (very reasonably) at any time of day, if they feel lazy.
It is a quiet, safe neighbourhood, though there is some night life (at a safe distance) for those who want it.

Puerto de Mazarron is a traditionsl fishing port - still working, and you can see them unloading many interesting sea creatures from the fishing boats.
It is just a little way off the beaten track, and is therefore less commercialised than some of the major resorts. Never-the-less it has everything you could possibly want, close to hand.
There is much local history here, lovely countryside, masses of wild flowers and creatures.

Other information:

The nearest airports are Alicante (about an hour and a half drive away) and Murcial (an hour). Cheap direct flights are available from all over the UK.
There is a train service in Totana (NE of Mazarron), from Alicante.
We can recommend an airport taxi, if need be.

Local Area Details

Many activities are available locally - water sports, golf, go-karting, riding walking and so on. The Tourist Office will advise.

There is also a brilliant Sunday Market, where you can get almost anything. Also a daily market, supplying fish, fresh from the boats, meat, vegetables - almost everything.
