At the end of a road, about 40 Km west of Mount Robson Park is a
delightfully unique wilderness retreat. Here are 168 mostly wild,
wooded acres, with over 4 km. frontage on the still pristine
headwaters of the Fraser River. The woods are home to bears,
coyotes, moose and deer. The river and nearby streams are teeming
with fish. The elegantly rustic, hand crafted log home is set in a
gorgeous garden, flanked by the Caribou and Rocky Mountain Ranges.
There are three cozy, beautifully decorated bedrooms, two bathrooms,
a wood fired sauna, and a solarium with a spectacular view. Propane
powers the lights, fridge, stove and hot water, but you might find it
fun to try cooking on the wood cook stove.

An extra bonus that we will share with our guests is the bounty of a
large, organic vegetable and berry garden.

The main attraction at this unique destination, is the complete sense of peace and quiet, far from the maddening crowds. The guests' most frequent comments revolve around how refreshed and renewed they feel after a few days of withdrawal from the high paced lifestyle so many of us live.

If you should tire of sitting on the decks soaking up the beauty and
listening to the bird songs you might try a hike along one of the
many trails that meander along the riverbank or climb along the
ridges to reveal awesome views of the mountain valley. Canoes are
also available for those who might enjoy a gentle float down the
Fraser River.

Daily maid and gourmet cook service can be arranged. Come, and enjoy

Local Area Details

We are situated within day tripping distance of Jasper and Mount
Robson Parks, with their many fine trails and attractions. As well there are many adventure and tourist businesses in the close vicinity, such as white water rafting, horse back riding, bicycle rentals and tours, and guided excursions into the backcountry for sportsmen, photographers, and naturalists.

A few kilometers away, there is a charming country store that sells everything from animal feed and farm supplies, to gourmet coffees and organic produce, operated by three friendly women from the community, who are always ready to give little insights into life in this unique community, which also has one of the only elementary schools in the province to be designated "fine arts".
