Property Details
This is a tiny cottage - one of a small terrace in the town of Castle Cary. There is a mainline station just outside the town, making it possible to stay here without a car.
The cottage is small and retains many original features - flagstone foors downstairs, elm boards upstairs, leaded panes in the windows and in the kitchenette under a glass panel is a truly awesome well. Upstairs there is one bedroom (double bed) and the bathroom is next to it - and up a further steep flight is the attic (no door) where there are two additional narrow beds.
Due to the steep narrow staircase (no handrail) this property is unsuitable for the infirm or anyone under the age of 5 years.
Local Area DetailsThe area is rich in Historic houses, Castles and Gardens. The cities of Bath, Wells and Salisbury are within reach - as is Stonehenge. The sea is an hour or so drive away. For walkers the cottage is almost on the Macmillan Way and the Leland Trail.
