After flying & Other Activities: Moonlight swims and barbeques by the lakeside is what we do to unwind after a tiring day at the site. Balu’s, the local pub on the way back to base is ideal for a few beers and mingling with the village elders sitting under the ancient Peepal tree indulging in a quiet smoke. Get together's at the guesthouse to talk about flying and more flying & barbecues on the weekend. When we do have the time and you are inclined there are a wide range of alternative activities to indulge in such as short early morning treks for the energetic, swimming or just cooling off in the lake, fishing, pottering around in the vegetable garden or simply relaxing in a hammock, and enjoying the scenery.
