NB: Rosengart and Talbot are attached by intercommunicating doors so can be booked as 2 separate houses or opened up to provide accommodation for a large party.If booked together a reduction is available.

The gites are all spacious and comfortably furnished and comprise of a lounge with television and satellite, bedrooms, fully fitted kitchens equipped with gas cooker, fridge, microwave oven, ample work surfaces, cupboards and spacious shower room.
Outside each gite there is a private terrace area with sun chairs, loungers and of course a BBQ for those balmy warm sunny evenings.

Local Area Details

relax enjoying the wonderful wildlife. Look out for the beautiful hoopoe birds and unusual butterflies and other interesting flora and fauna which abound in the vicinity.

The property is set in about eight secluded acres on the banks of the river Tude where you can fish for trout and two minutes from the river.
Dronne with it's fine sandy beach at nearby Aubeterre, officially.
recognised as being one of the prettiest villages in France.
La Sicaudrie is located about 6km south of the market town of Chalais in Southern Charente.

Our award winning ancient former Charentaise farmhouses and barns were built from local fossil bearing chalkstone. They have been lovingly restored and modernised yet retain all their original French character with exposed oak beams etc. They provide delightful holiday gites next to the resident owner's home.

Situated in the midst of glorious countryside we are within easy reach of the local towns and facilities by car, bicycle or on foot. The market town of Chalais is 6km distant and has a lively Monday morning market.
Close by are several riverside leisure parks with sandy beaches, tennis courts, fishing, canoeing, children's play parks and restaurants etc.
Classic car driving guests are particularly welcomed and can use the safe, dry and secure huge barn for overnight parking if required, next to the owner's classic cars.
A well-equipped workshop and tools is also available should the need arise.
