Swansdown Cottage, Blenheim, Marlborough, is a charming original early Colonial cottage set in a large rural garden with pond, rural and vineyard views with mountains beyond. Built in the native rimu and totara with tong-and-groove joinery, the character building has a queen room and a double room, small kitchen/dining with a cosy wood fire and lovely bathroom with shower and large clawfoot bath. A sunny verandah completes the picture. Microwave, fridg and electrical appliances as well as an outdoor gas bar-b-cue allow a small amount of cooking.

Local Area DetailsSwansdown Cottage is just minutes from Montana's Brancott Winery & Restaurant and is the perfect base for exploring the area's wineries, olive groves, craft outlets and great outdoors including the beautiful Marlborough Sounds. At the end of the road we have the Wairau Lagoon Walkway which takes you to the old wreck The Waverley. Both Whalewatch Kaikoura and Nelson City are but 1 1/2 hours drive away. The Airport and the Port of Picton (Ferry Terminal) are approximately 25 minutes drive and the centre of Blenheim for shopping is 5 minutes from the Cottage.
