Apartment Caleta is a beautifully furnished 2 bedroom apartment with a large private pool. There is also a large private terrace with barbeque. It is in a perfect location within walking distance to bars retaurants shops and the beach.

The apartment has been tastefully furnished with comfort in mind, the lounge has two leather settees, a coffee table a large wall unit with a TV, video and a CD/mini-system. There is a kitchen which is fully equipped with oven hob, fridge, and the usual compliment of utencils. There are two bedrooms, 1 double and one with twin beds both are fitted with Canarian style furniture. There is a large bathroom with a shower cubicle. The washing machine is located here and an iron and ironing board are also provided.
All rooms throughout the apartment are fitted with ceiling fans for your comfort.
At the rear of the apartment there is a large private swimming pool and also a large patio area with barbeque, sun-loungers and table and chairs. The swimming pool is 7.5 meters long and 3.5 meters wide, and has a graded depth from 1 meter to 1.5. There is also a heated pool-side shower.

Local Area Details

The town of Caleta de Fuste (also known as Castillo) is perfectly positioned in the middle of the island, and therefore is only a 10 minute taxi transfer from the airport.
It is a particularly friendly town and caters extremely well for families and couples alike. You won’t find a multitude of late bars and disco’s, but you will find plenty of great restaurants and bars.

The town of Caleta is often referred to as a man made holiday village.
The man made beach has been carefully constructed to avoid currents and is in the shape of a horse shoe. This ensures it is perfectly safe for children of all ages. Those wanting to be a little more adventurous can go diving, hire jet skis or learn to windsurf at the water centre on the beach.
The harbour is home to many yachts, catamarans and boats which provide local trips as well as providing a beautiful backdrop in the evenings.

There is a multitude of good restaurants in Caleta that can cater for all tastes at very reasonable prices. Steaks and Fish are particularly good, however there are also Chinese, Indian, Greek and English restaurants all within a close area.
There are a number of good supermarkets within the centre area, should you need anything.

A new Shopping centre opened in October 2003 and has some fabulous shops (especially good for ladies shoes and bags) but there is also a large supermarket which caters for all tastes.

The Capital Del Rossario is approximately 20 minutes north of Caleta. There is a local bus service, which runs every 30 minutes and provides air conditioned coaches for the trip. At 1 Euro (65p) it is an extremely cheap and easy way to get around.
Car hire is easily available and is approximately 18 Euros (£12 ) per day.

This brings me onto one of the main selling points about Caleta is that everything is within walking distance, the beach, the shops and the restaurants and bars, so it is perfect for those who don’t want the hassle of having to drive every day.
