Villa Carta is situated in the area of Cinisi and enjoys a splendid panoramic view over Punta Raisi and the Gulf of Castellammare. The distance to the Palermo Airport is about 5 km. and to Palermo downtown is about 30 km. The charm and the position of the villa is emphasized not only from the structure built with typical local materials such as stones in which is grafted the wormth of wood and terracotta but also from the luxury furniture and maintained garden characterized by English path and various Mediterranean plants.
The villa is organized in two levels. Around the house there is a wide veranda with stone archeds and wooden roof from where you can access the living room – a very elegant and refined environment, arranged in various spaces and angles suitable for reading or having conversation. A whole scene is dominated by the fire place in stone over which an elegant staircase is twisting up to the first floor. An element that destinguishes the hall giving it a sophisticated flavour. The furniture consists of some antique and precious objects.
The hall is connected with the dining-room as well as with a small corridor which leads to the kitchen, two bedrooms and a bathroom. The kitchen is arranged with different objects pertaining the traditional Sicilian manufacture such as the collection of cooper utensils and the table representing the so called Sicilian poor art (“arte povera�). One stylish stone scale goes down to the private wine cellar under. The laundry is contiguous to the kitchen.
The main bedroom is very spacious with view down over the garden. The bedroom is accomplished by a wardrobe and a bathroom with shower. The second double bedroom is stylish too. The main bathroom on the ground floor contains valuable majolica and is provided with tub.
On the first floor of the villa we can find an entrance hall which protrudes over the hall and is adjusted to a conversation room with original banks with comfortable pillows. A wide arch leads to further room, also very expansive with sofa beds and studio angle. Also on the first floor there are a double bedroom, another bedroom with twin beds and one single bedroom, all of them nice and functionally furnished. The adjacent bathroom is with shower. All bedrooms have garden view and at the same time enjoy the sea view which is few chilometers away.
Outside, Villa Carta as was already mentioned, is surrounded by a wide well mantained garden where the swimming pool is situated close to another attractive place like the external kitchen with barbeque set and furnaces suitable for preparing original dishes of Sicilian cuisine. The dining area is composed by a table and banks and the external kitchen is equipped by utensils and household facilities. There are various external angles where moments of relax can be enjoyed.
The typical position of the villa i.e. the few choilometers from Punta Raisi and therefore from the airport (Falcone-Borsellino) determines a certain aspect that is the distinctive sound of the aircrfts that in fact is not a troublesome as the fixtures of the house which are wooden and the glass make the unit distant from any disturbing elements. To be mentioned also are the airconditions available in the property and the heating facilities during winter.
Because of the large external and internal spaces, the villa needs a particular care necessary for its full functionality that’s why it is supposed the presence of a caretaker who can facilitate the stay and the vacation of the guests. There is available as well a maid for house maintainance or a cook for cooking dishes on spot. These further services are upon request and are paid a part.

During you stay you will be able to visit some of the most interesting and famous sightseeing in the region such as the Ancient Doric Temple in Segesta and the Ancient Greek Theatre, as well as the Tonnara (ancient tuna producing station) and the Rocks I Faraglioni in Scopello, take a look over the picturecque landscape from the heights of Medieval city of Erice, visit and enjoy the beauty of the Mediterranean nature you can find in the Nature Park Lo Zingaro, also taste the flavours of the Sicilian cuisine in any of the local restaurants.
The tours to Palermo, Trapani, Agrigento, Taormina are also possible in one day.
