Local Area DetailsOur farmhouse in in the green, unspoiled valley of Sovara, midway between the Arno and the Tiber valleys. The best startnig point for visiting old villages around here (like the medieval towns of Anghiari and Poppi), the places where the Renaissance painter Piero della Francesca lived and painted (Sansepolcro museum, Arezzo, Monterchi); not far from here there's also the National park of Casentino forests. It is also possible to visit in a one-day trip towns like Florence, Siena, Cortona, and Assisi, in Umbria
