Javea is ideally situated amongst orange & lemon groves and is in the shadow of the Montgo mountain, National Park and its wonderful countryside. Javea (Xabia)is a relaxing 'non brochure' resort that caters for people who want to chill out, enjoy good food & wine and the company of interesting people. The Town itself is divided into three distict areas, the sandy Blue Flag Arenal beach, which is ideal for children, the Port and it's Marina and the Old Town, with it's narrow streets, restaurants, bars and shops. There is a local market on Thursday's and numerous festivals throughout the year. To the south is the busy working town of Calpe and the resort of Altea, both of which have numerous shops, restaurants and weekly markets.
